Telekom Music Talent Space (TMTS) is an innovative music funding program initiated by Deutsche Telekom. It combines the companies’ expertise in the areas music (Electronic Beats) and tech startups (hub:raum, T-Ventures). During the course of the program participating artists are supported individually according to their needs.

During the week-long accelerator artists take part in workshops on topics such as A&R Today or New Social Media. They get specific guidance from professionals in areas like vocal coaching, production, stage performance & design, styling or artist brand & visual design. Moreover, the artists get deep insights into the music industry during the so called industry visits at players like Spotify or Native Instruments.

The accelerator week is followed by the incubator stage during which one or more participants enjoy long-term individual support. This may be in the form of gigs at Electronic Beats festivals, international PR and marketing activities or tour support and is adjusted entirely to the artists’ needs. The objective is a long-term commitment and a cooperation based on partnership.

In a first pilot edition in Berlin Adi Ulmansky from Tel Aviv, from London and Poolside from California were selected for the accelerator stage. Singer Peaches, light designer Bertil Mark, music manager Jochen Schuster and DJ and guitarist Andy Penn took part as coaches. The accelerator week culminated in a concert in front of a selected audience at Berlin’s FluxBau.

Commandante was part of the program from the very beginning and is responsible for its idea and development as well as supervision and controlling of the project. Furthermore, Commandante designed and conceptualized the TMTS website, developed the content and social media concept and supervises these channels.
